Hair loss due to cancer treatment or conditions such as alopecia can make a person feel more visible, vulnerable, or self-conscious. It can be common for people to experience a range of feelings such as anger, anxiety, or sadness.

Ipswich Hospital Foundation’s Wig Lounge creates a supportive environment and gives people more self-confidence during hair loss.

The IHF Wig Lounge offers an extensive range of quality, synthetic wigs, turbans, beanies, and scarves in a range of styles and colours. With the help of trained volunteers, people undergoing hair loss due to cancer treatment or conditions such as Alopecia are provided the opportunity to visit our lounge and choose a product they can keep.

This service is offered at no cost, and all wigs & headwear are supplied to individuals free of charge. If you’d like to donate to Ipswich Hospital Foundation and see this program grow, please click here.
