This program offers flexible commitment as projects and events are spread throughout the year and you can commit to as little or as much as you would like. Commitment can involve weekday or weekend events. Shifts can range from 2 hours and up to 8 hours depending on the event.

Some of our projects include:

Ipswich Showgrounds Caravan Park

If you enjoy talking to people, being outdoors, and love the Ipswich Community, this is the perfect volunteer opportunity for you to help. In support of the Ipswich Show Society Caravan Park Volunteers help provide a check in service for caravans, camper vans and mobile homes on weekends and public holidays. Shared regular roster.  Simple paperwork, EFTPOS and cash collection.

Training provided. Volunteer National Police Check required (at no cost to you).

Our biggest event of the year! Held on the first Sunday in July, hundreds of Volunteers assist each year in making this event such a success.

Help with preparing racing packs prior to the event, collection of race kits, marshalling, setting up and packing up and generally supporting the Ipswich Hospital Foundation Staff.

Gift Wrapping

Held during the lead up to Christmas every year at Redbank Plaza Shopping Centre – put your gift wrapping skills to good use.  Customers donate money to have their presents wrapped by our cheery Volunteers.

Your generous support with this fund raising event will assist Ipswich Hospital Foundation to continue supporting the communities health services and promoting healthy lifestyles, in order to improve the health of the community and reverse the trend of increasing (and often preventable) chronic diseases.

Do you love driving?  Assist with the West Moreton Health Cars4Care Program by helping reduce staff parking at the Ipswich Hospital.  The role involves driving passengers between Ipswich Railway Station and the Ipswich Hospital in loops over a scheduled period.  The Monday to Friday roster is shared to ensure full coverage and is a regular volunteering commitment.

Volunteer National Police Check required (at no cost to you).

Event Volunteering

Representing the Ipswich Hospital Foundation at festivals and industry related events.  These include Park2Park, Ipswich 100 and One Mile Gift to name a few.

Tasks could include handing out brochures, selling raffle tickets, setting up and packing up stalls, marshalling etc.

IHF Kid’s Kitchen

The IHF Kid’s Kitchen program provides children with a hands-on cooking class as well as theory knowledge base to know what a healthy lifestyle consists of and how to make healthy choices. Classes are held during the school term.

Volunteers are sought to assist the IHF staff member and nutritionist to help prepare food, wash up, tidy up and offer assistance where needed.

Blue Card Required (at no cost to you).
