A bold new chapter: Ipswich Hospital Foundation unveils new name and brand

The Ipswich Hospital Foundation is thrilled to announce that it is set to become West Moreton Health Foundation – marking the beginning of a bold new chapter for the organisation.

The rebrand, revealed at a sold-out Gala Dinner on Friday 30 May at the Ipswich Civic Centre, is a historic moment in the Foundation’s nearly three-decade history.

From humble beginnings, the organisation has grown into the trusted Foundation supporting West Moreton Health to deliver safe, quality healthcare across five hospitals and six health centres throughout the region.

CEO Scott Young said the change signifies far more than a new name and logo.

“Over the past few years, the Foundation has gone through a real transformation. The rebrand reflects who we’ve become and where we’re going.

“We’ve matured, expanded our impact, and are now proudly supporting the health and wellbeing of more than 325,000 people across the Ipswich, Somerset, Scenic Rim and Lockyer Valley communities.

“Our new brand signals a clearer, more confident identity and will serve as a vehicle for us to inspire generosity, attract new opportunities and deepen our connection with the community – all with the purpose of delivering greater impact for the people of West Moreton,” Mr Young said.

West Moreton is the fastest growing region in Queensland with the population expected to reach 636,000 people by 2046. Mr Young said the Foundation must evolve in step with the growth of the region and the expanding health service.

“In the past three years, the Foundation has invested more than $1.4 million in impact funding – and that’s how we make a difference to the people of the region: the patients, the support persons, and the staff who care for them.

“Our ability to make a real impact is only possible because of the generosity of our incredible supporters – the corporate partners, community groups, and kind-hearted individuals who give so generously through donations, events, and so many other meaningful ways.

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported the Foundation over many years, and we’re excited to take all of you on this journey into the future,” Mr Young said.

The new brand was developed following extensive consultation with community stakeholders, healthcare professionals and supporters to ensure it reflects both the heart and ambition of the organisation.

Over the coming weeks, the community will hear more about the new brand and what it represents, and from 1 July 2025, the Foundation will officially adopt its new name and visual identity.
