The Ipswich Hospital Foundation (IHF) has made the difficult decision to cancel Park2Park for 2025.
Park2Park has long been a cherished community event, bringing thousands together to celebrate fitness, connection, and community spirit.
In 2024, IHF trialled a new approach by transitioning Park2Park into a peer-to-peer fundraising model. This change aimed to better align the event with our strategic direction—ensuring funds raised go directly into impactful programs and services that support the health of our community.
While the refreshed model was positively received, the cost of running large-scale events remains a significant consideration. As part of our ongoing review of fundraising activities, we are prioritising approaches that deliver strong community engagement while maximising the return to healthcare outcomes.
This decision reflects our commitment to sustainable fundraising and ensuring donor contributions make the greatest possible impact.
