Breast Cancer Research Project

This October, Go Pink to to support local research to better post-operative breast cancer care for locals!

We need your help to raise money for the West Moreton Breast Cancer Research Project to investigate the feasibility of a virtual breast care clinic to support patients following breast cancer surgery.

If adopted, the virtual model would be ground-breaking for not only our local community, but for millions of others around the world.

Support local research that will support local people

“Having breast cancer is like rollercoaster. What a breast cancer nurse does is make those big ups and big downs as level as possible. We want to expand on the existing after-surgery consultations, which focus on physical assessment and symptom management, to provide a comprehensive assessment of patient’s psychosocial health and quality of life."

Helping educate and inform patients about their treatment, potential side-effects, and to coordinate appointments, helped people overcome their worries and better understand the complexities of the health system. I make sure they are connecting with the right people at the right time to progress their care needs.”
