


Supporting Health Professionals
The Health and Medical Professionals dedicate their lives to improving the health and healing the sick and ill in the community. The Ipswich Hospital Foundation runs a comprehensive competitive grant program, driven by these professionals, which has returned over $2 million dollars improving the health of the community in quite significant ways.
Professional Development & Education
Keeping abreast of the rapidly changing skills and knowledge needed to provide quality health care in the community.
- Conferences & workshop attendance. Apply for conference attendance. (Conference attendance is generally not granted to conferences held overseas).
- Hosting of conferences & workshops. Apply for conference hosting.
- Scholarships for study in the health and medical areas. Scholarships are usually only awarded to those who are currently employed in the health industry locally. Apply for scholarship grants. (Scholarships may be awarded annually to an individual upon presentation of satisfactory achievement and fulfillment of the reporting requirements)
- ARAFMI Sunshine Coast Post Graduate Mental Health Research Scholarship is awarded through application with the Queensland Centre for Mental Health Research and the Ipswich Hospital Foundation.
- The Neville Bonner scholarship is a prestigious scholarship in the area of health and medical education that also incorporates the ideals of social justice inspired by Neville Bonner who was a founding member of the Ipswich Hospital Foundation. - The Heritage Sunshine Circle Scholarship offers $3,000 to a paediatric health care worker for study in the health and medical area. To apply include the words "Heritage Scholarship" with your course details - click here to apply.

Needed Health & Medical Equipment and Patent Amenities
Providing renal dialysis bays at Ipswich Hospital; balcony refurbishment at ICU and Cardiac Unit at Ipswich Hospital; Outdoor consumer furniture at The Park; iSTAT blood analysers for Boonah, Laidley and Esk Hospitals. Apply for equipment grants. Establish and operate the wig library for cancer patients at Ipswich Hospital.
Medical & Health Research
Providing funding for ground breaking research in such diverse areas as Schizophrenia, Birth Trauma, Mental Health Nursing. Research applications are not available on-line but you may download the criteria and applications. Please note current limitations of funding due to on-going support of the UQ/ IHF Centre for Healthy Community Research Centre.
