Sun Protection Program

Be safe - Protect yourself and your family from the sun

The Ipswich Hospital Foundation is an organisation dedicated to improving the health of our Ipswich community. This is why we developed the Sun Protection Program to help protect our community from the harmful effects of unprotected sun exposure. 

Services presently supplied for free under the Sun Protection Program:

Sunscreen trailers - The sun trailers are modified box trailers which have 4 sunscreen dispensers and are available to schools, community groups and organisations to use at their functions/activities.  The foundation currently has two sun trailers which can be booked out. The trailers are free to use, all have you have to do is phone 3817 2389 or by email plazacp@gil.com.au to book one now.

Sunshade marquees - The Ipswich Hospital Foundation also provides free standing easy to assemble marquees which are available to schools, community groups and organisations to borrow for their functions/activities.  Currently we have eight 3m x 3m marquees and one 6m x 3m. To reserve a marquee for your event please phone 3817 2389 or by email plazacp@gil.com.au.

Sunscreen Dispensers - Sunscreen dispensers are currently located around Ipswich in your local parks/pools.  The Foundation provides free sunscreen at local community pools at Goonda, Bundamba, Leichhardt, Rosewood and Laidley as well as Queens Park Café. If you would like free sunscreen distributed to your organisation or know of a place in the community that could utilise a free sun screen dispenser, please contact the Ipswich Hospital Foundation on 3817 2389 or by email plazacp@gil.com.au.

Small sachets - of sun screen and smaller bottles (2.5L or 1L) are also available by contacting 3817 2318 or email to info@ihfoundation.org.au.
