In addition to promoting healthy lifestyle changes for individuals and supporting health professionals in the community, the Ipswich Hospital Foundation knows it is necessary to Build a Healthier Community in order to become the Healthiest Community in Australia.

Sunshine Circle

The future of the community lies with its children.  The Sunshine Circle is seeking a Brighter Future for Healthier Children. The Sunshine Circle's support for child and youth health services and its promotion of children's health receives great support in the community.

Healthy Communities Research Centre

The Healthy Communities Research Centre is a new initiative, jointly established by the University of Queensland Faculty of Health Sciences and the Ipswich Hospital Foundation. The Centre will provide national leadership in improving community based participatory research, reducing health disparities and improving health care and quality of life.

Healthy Community Competition

The Ipswich Hospital Foundation in conjunction with the UQ/IHF Healthy Communities Research Centre is devising a healthy communities competition which will assist in motivating individuals and communities to become healthier.

Healthy Partnerships
